Working with ODC and Chilmark Consulting, Element Urbanism prepared an economic recovery masterplan for Carmarthen’s town centre to help address the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and identify short to medium-term opportunities for intervention and growth. Extensive collaboration with the local authority, town council and local stakeholders was central to the delivery of the project in a limited timeframe – to agree on creative solutions including the adaptive reuse of buildings, the public realm, supporting the evening economy and attracting more visitors.
