Appointed by South Somerset District Council, Element in association with PJA, produced strategic public realm and other associated proposals with the primary objective of boosting footfall, creating a more economically vibrant centre and supporting future regeneration aspirations. This culminated in the detailed design of four public spaces/accessibility improvement areas. The design process involved close collaboration with the Town Council to help understand and accommodate a wide variety of perspectives and opinions and a public consultation exercise which garnered widespread support.
